My friend and I were starving after a day full of errands and she looked on her phone and suggested this based on location and simply being open in August during the Covid-19 pandemic. I alerted her that it is an *institution* that I had regularly turned to for late-night munchies when I was a Yale undergrad in the 1980s. How great that it turned out to be open, with great remote-order and Apple pay, and sidewalk seating. Still fast, which is great because I had a train to catch. The food was delicious. Nice fresh falafel with excellent spice, their amazing hot sauce on the side, and everything else just fine. Yay Mamoun's. I wonder if the location in NYC is still open, or as good?

Another example of an eatery allowing their previous great history/reviews to keep them in business while offering low quality. I liked them years ago, now.....not so much. C,mon Mamouns, don't serve me microwaved spinach roll / pastry. That's just insulting. It was not even hot/warm enough, which means you also fail at microwaving (if that's even possible). That's pretty sad. Not flaky, and more roll than spinach. I did enjoy how you tried to mask the low quality by soaking it in sauce, that was pretty funny, I had a laugh, so thanks for that. Lamb Shawarma, disappointing. Not that much lamb (under-seasoned), mostly chopped lettuce, and a cheap store bought bland \pita\. Step up your game Mamoun's, or sell it to someone that cares about the great history you had.

I'm a huge fan of Mamoun's I have been to both locations in the city and I ABSOLUTELY love it! We got to enjoy this New Haven location before covid and really loved the experience in here. Very cozy and warm and everyone being very kind. Unfortunately, in the recent times, it didn't live up to my expectations. The young cashier gentleman is probably one of the RUDEST people I've ever met. He was rude to the customers, rude to us, not wearing a mask because he had a plexiglass and just gives the worst customer service. Again, I'm basing my review on the amazing cooks here and the FOOD. Falafels are always out of this world and the rice and lentils is a must! Can't wait for things to go back to normal to enjoy this and not have to eat it in my car :)

Service was good, the wait was normal, our dishes were tasty, enjoyed the Syrian rice! . Street parking was easy & convenient, prices are good for the portions. Great downtown location.....

YES. WOW. what a great place. Amazing, straight-forward food. Delicious and served rapidly. The soup, in particular, was just fantastic. Great hummus, too. Apparently open 365 days a year. I would 100% turn up on Christmas if I lived nearby!
