Lynn Wood presented a program entitled NORMAL VS NOT NORMAL AGAING to our audience of family members, professional referrals and staff. She was so clear and articulated the message that is sometimes hard for loved ones to hear. I've got her scheduled for two educational events in August! Mental Health America of Middle Tennessee is a top notch organization. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to them over two years ago by a colleague, and have been continually impressed with their resources, professionalism, and welcoming attitude. When I began suffering from excessive anxiety and panic attacks in 2015, I called them directly for help. I didn't even know what I needed, I just knew I needed help. They were able to direct me to several qualified psychologists, helped me with insurance resources, and followed up to make sure I got the care I needed. On a personal note, the staff is the most hard working, dedicated, and authentic non-profit team I have ever worked with. They truly care about what they do and go above and beyond everyday to find new and greater ways to help people, whether it's getting a multi-year grant, or just sending flowers to someone who needs a little extra support. I am honored to be a part of this organization.
