I currently go here and it's an awesome school. There are too many extracurriculars and clubs to lists--there is something for absolutely everyone. Plus the teachers are great--they're all willing to work with students to help them be the best they can be, and they truly excell at teaching. Mentor is good at pretty much everything whether it's sports, music, arts, academics, you name it. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
I'm currently a senior at Mentor High School, and I've thouroughly enjoyed my four years here. Mentor is a very large school, with about 2000 students, but has an imennse number of opportunities. I chose to take advantage of these by participating in the fantastic orchestra program, Science Olympiad, and several other clubs. I've had almost entirely positive experiences with teachers, they were helpful and taught well. In my experience, Mentor does not have as large a bullying problem as often mentioned.
I was here at this school for one semester doing a marketing program in 2013, and I got to tell you it is not welcoming for new students especially minorities. I have never been so disappointed in my life! The racism here is unbelievable and the people here are very rude, and I would not recommend this school to anyone. However, the education is good but socially it is bad.
