Whats not to like about MDP. It's a big hilly park , with lots of grass and trees and awesome views of the city. They have a few restrooms. Seems like there are a lot of events and festivities that are usually scheduled here. Lots of nearby foodie places where you can grab something to go and bring to the park for a picnic if you choose. Bring a blanket or towel to sit on , the grass always feels kind of wet when you sit on it . Come on up and relax :)

This Park is not only the heart of Manhattan, but a piece of living, breathing art. It was created as an outdoor museum of sorts, and the Cuban Memorial Boulevard Park Conservancy has restored it to its former glory and maintained it flawlessly.

Small green space, but with a great purpose. The explanatory plaque tells you a lot and the palm trees are beautiful.
