I live on a very narrow street and street parking I technically a violation. However, all up and down the street people continue to park. On saturday,a Milton police officer aggressively rang my doorbell because my friend was parked on the street, as well as the people across the street. He aggressively requested we move the car to the driveway. No big deal I get that. However, I had two 5 year olds in the house, we were not partying loud, and the manner this officer rang the bell and then spoke to us completely dismissing the fact that there were little kids present was maddening. My son was confused and frightened by the way he presented. This was a first interaction with an officer. Leaving an unsettling feeling in him, enough to where he mentioned it the next day. Milton police please train your officers on how to handle residential situations involving minors in the home, and be mindful that not all situations elicit a street response. This was unacceptable.

My biggest complaint about Milton PD is not the dedicated officers who do their very best to keep the rest of us safe. No, it's having to go through a long question session with Alpharetta dispatch just to have an officer check a suspicious vehicle out, by which time the suspicious vehicle or person is long gone. Milton either needs to do its own thing, or give it all back to Fulton County. The problem is that when we all wanted all these micro-cities, but didn't put up enough money to pay for the essential services needed to efficiently run them. Separate but equal, ya know !

The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. As far as the police officers. They were very unhelpful and told us that forgery in the first degree was a civil matter. I don’t know if they didn’t care to help us or just didn’t want to do their job. Very disappointed in this place.

I just went to court to discuss a speeding ticket (where the car BESIDE ME WAS SPEEDING BUT I GOT THE TICKET) and I am thoroughly disappointed with the way it was handled. Basically the officer read out his \evidence\ and since I had no evidence (obviously, am I supposed to have a camera or something in my car?!) I was guilty for speeding and had to pay the fine. These officers will literally stand around and wait to catch ANYONE. They probably have to meet a certain number of tickets every month or something and so are desperate to catch anyone they can. I would literally move out of Milton just because of this. It's disappointing that the citizens of Milton are at the mercy of the police.
