Both my boys attend this school (2 year old and 3 year old) and my 3 year old learned so much in just the first two months of enrollment which was when he was 18 months. The staff is friendly, caring and trust worthy. My 2 year old started last September and has also made so much progress since joining the MSR family. I will also be enrolling my third child in the future. Their day to day incorporates learning independence, real life skills, and also there’s no cap to everything they’re leaning at such a crucial time in their up bringing. They are also getting exposure to Spanish this year, which I love! If you’re looking for an authentic Montessori school, look no further than MSR!

Montessori School - Rochester is now housed in the school that was, until 2016, the Oakland Steiner School. The building is a magical place where students simply thrive and parents can feel comfortable knowing that their children are receiving an amazing educational experience. My son spent ages 4-10 at a Montessori school in Mount Clemens, and then experienced grades 6-8 at the Oakland Steiner School. The love of learning that my son acquired in the Montessori and Waldorf systems is something that he cherishes to this day, and has translated to every aspect of his life.
This school has been wonderful for all three of my children. The individualized attention that each student receives is fabulous. My youngest benefited most from the program as he developed stronger social and emotional skills, which allowed him to flourish academically! The teachers are fabulous and friendly and the whole school community is very welcoming!!!
