We went on a full day backcountry ski in GTNP with Nancy and it was amazing. She was super friendly, taught us lots of backcountry tricks, and helped us to find plenty of powder! Would highly recommend Exum and Nancy.

Thank you Kai Girard and the Exum team for the unforgettable 4 days. If you're reading these reviews considering an attempt to summit The Grand than you should just go ahead and book it. As promised on Exum's website and mentioned in reviews, it will probably be the hardest thing you've ever done, it WILL be the most rewarding thing you've ever done, and it will most likely change your look on life. SAFETY was obviously top of mind but after two days of training with Kai, we were ready to tackle the mountain with 100% confident that we had the tools and knowledge to do it safely. What I did not consider while we were signing up is the importance of your guide. They will MAKE this experience and when it comes to Exum you can only expect the best. Kai had 15 years on his resume before he was even hired at Exum. That was 5 years ago and he's still one of the "newbies." On the mountain we saw a couple of guys that were actually running the Grand summit plus two others in one day. One of them was an Exum guide. Another Exum guide is an actual geologist that wrote a book on the Grand Tetons. The bottom line is that Exum only hires the best and you can't go wrong. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience. We are hoping we actually caught the mountaineering bug and look forward to our next adventure with Exum.

The team at Exum is fantastic. From the office and support staff to the guides. They've taken great care to make everyone feel comfortable in light of current COVID conditions and still deliver an amazing experience. Evan Miller guided me to the top of the Grand and he's setting a standard for all guides to achieve. Thanks to Cyndi and Tom Hargis for a great experience in the Tetons!

I recently climbed the full exum in a day and I find the permanent camps in the lower saddle to be a bit ignorant. This is a private company permanently set up on public property. If we had planned on bivying, my partner and I would have to look for a different flat spot which are few and far between. The tack for the rapels from the top are in poor condition so it's evident they don't put in work on the actual climbs themselves. Climbing the Teton should involve a six mile 5,900' hike in with everything on your back or hiring a porter. Not strolling in there and buying cached food renting bivy and climbing gear.

I can't say enough positive things about Exum... I first met the crew in about 2012 for an Intro to Backcountry Skiing clinic in Grand Teton National Park, and have since skied and climbed with them on well over 10 occasions. All of the guides are extremely knowledgeable, very safety conscious, and fun to hang out with (even while winter camping in fairly extreme conditions). If you want to learn more about backcountry skiing, ski mountaineering, or climbing, Exum is the way to go!

I learned how to rock climb at Exum Mountain Guides when I was 13. If you want to do something adventurous with your family and see the Tetons in a special way this is the place. Climbing with Exum will be the highlight of your visit to Jackson and you will tell those stories at family gatherings.

Wow! An incredibly run organization. The culture amongst this group is "kind of a thing". A well paced, smooth trek to the top with no sacrifice of safety. Guides are not just mountain men but mountain scientists. Thanks for an epic trip to the top of the Grand!!
