We bought our home in 2011, Clayton of Mount Airy did things I believe were unethical. I am going to list them in short bullet points. 1. Told us set up was included in price of home when we were actually charged for setup separately 2. When we asked for upgraded underpinning they did not give it to us or explain why they wouldn’t 3. Did not get a itemized list of costs at closing so we had no idea if they charged for things we paid out of pocket for 4. We had a small water leak in bathroom that did not show itself until our 1 year warranty was out they would not repair it even though it was apparent it had been there since it was built. 5. The shingles started blowing off after two years even though roof supposed to have 10 year warranty they said we live in high wind area so they are not responsible. The shingles were only glued down it had no nails in it. I just hope not all Clayton home locations are as dishonest as this one.

Got one and paid for it paid on it for 6 months before we ever got it would love to have another one when these years just can't afford them no more
We purchased a home from Clayton 4 years ago. Right now we are having a problem with water since we have a well. We were told that if we keep on cleaning the water filer for a few months and the water will be clean but it hasn’t. We decided to not bother to contact their service because they will give us a run around and decided to have a real plumber coming to give us an estimate to replace the poor job on pipes which we were told. We are having our A/C unit problem (broken twice this year). The company that we contacted told us that they are cheap and will not last longer. 2 years ago, we had a septic pipe problem and it was broken! We couldn’t get the service to come down here to fix the broken pipe so we hired a professional to fix it. These problems could’ve been not happen within 4 years! Unbelievable! I will not recommend to anyone this place!
Clayton homes is a very good pace to start your home buying experience. The homes are very high quality and very reasonably priced. The staff member Daniel Casstevens was very informative, professional, and helpful while we purchased our home.
We originally went to a different clayton homes closer to our home town but decided to venture out and go to the Clayton homes of Mt Airy. That is where we met Daniel Casstevens. Not for a single second have we regretted our decision of choosing Clayton homes of mount airy. Daniel has gone above and beyond to meet our every want/need. He helped us pick out the home of our dreams and was there with us every step of the way. I would HIGHLY recommend choosing Clayton homes of Mount Airy, and if you do decide to go with them... Ask for Daniel!
