Oh, we were very pleased with our rentals. The location is really cool and the 'pond' is such a misnomer. It's a lake and it was beautiful for a 'mountain' style body of water. One day we rented 5 stand up paddle boards and another we came back and rented a single kayak and another SUP. Great Long Pond is a terrific place for water activities as it's pretty calm for the most part and when you're using equipment you've never used before, well, it's nice to be on a calm surface. The guys at the rental shed were really nice and even though the second time we came without reservations, they were helpful and knowledgeable. A couple of tips, there is a street to cross from the rental shed to the dock/boat launch and it was really busy on the last Friday we were there so it's important to mindful of what is going on. There is a free swimming hole there (no lifeguards) but it's pretty shallow on the whole and you swim out to a buoy for a deeper swim if you like. Hopefully we'll be up again in a couple of years and we'll rent again.

You make your reservation. Show up and give your name. A few moments later, you are strolling down the street with your kayak. It seems a little daunting crossing the street with a giant kayak on a wheelbarrow, but drivers on the road are nice and stopped for us. The kayak rental provided the necessary tools to such an unforgettable late afternoon at the pond.
Rental prices a little expensive but it's totally worth it. The equipment is very clean and well-kept. No having to stick your legs inside of a dirty kayak! Rentals are located immediately across the street from the boat launch. Long pond offers many many hours of fun. You could easily spend an entire day out on the pond and not see all of it.
Very nice lake to kayak on though service at rental place was not good at all. The 2 people present were not friendly and didn't seem to care less and above all were not wearing masks when it is mandatory in all of Maine. So as such beautiful place to kayak and kayaks are good but service was really not great.
Rented a kayak for 40 to use for a few hours. Had a fun time. The only downfall was that we had to bring the kayak ourselves into the water from across the street from the rental area and back to the rental area. Beautiful views, water was warm. Other kayak rentals had group tours which was not ideal for us so this place was perfect.
