We have taken several cruises with the friendly folks at Hardy Boat. This was our second trip to Monhegan Island and we were fortunate with good weather and light seas. I particularly enjoy the wildlife commentary that the captain provides. We were fortunate in seeing a pod of white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, gray and harbor seals and even a gigantic ocean sunfish. Add in all the birds and it kept me busy with my camera. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see unspoiled Maine.

Took the tour to spot puffins out at Eastern egg island. The guide and captain were outstanding giving us a detailed history of the isle and the elimination and restoration of the puffin population and life cycle. Also provided identification told for various gulls, terns, and guillemot. While it was the end of the season in mid- August, we did see some, with a raft of other birds and a seal. The recommended time to go is June to July. It was worth the trip and the scenery was beautiful. Figure 35 for an adult and the cruise is about an hour and a half

Not only is Hardy Boat Cruises an exiting visual experience, it is also very informative. I learned more about the history of Eastern Rock Island (Easter Egg Island) and its winged inhabitants than I had imagined. Truly, an experience that should (and will) be repeated.

Hardy Boats never disappoint! I've engaged them several times over the years to visit Monhegan. The crew are hard working, friendly, polite, and helpful.

The narration for the Seal Watching tour is fantastic...fun facts and really interesting information about the seals of the region. One hour trip..easy to take the kids and affordable.
