Capt. Sal's Seafood is one of my favorite seafood stores. The boiled Dungeness crabs are not just sitting out. They sort of boil them to order, thus when you get them in the bag, you can see the steam. The red beans and rice are surprisingly excellent! The po'boys are filling on good bread. The prices here are extremely reasonable and the service is good. I do recommend Capt. Sal's and already visit frequently.

Decent Service. Fries were way too Salty. Great prices. Red beans were nasty and chicken was too small.

Judge a book by it's cover and miss a fantastic story. Overlook this New Orleans Classic Sub Shop and you're going to miss out on the BEST seafood PoBoys this side of the train tracks, Bywater.

This place took the cake for having the best seafood in terms of flavor, quality, and authenticity. The Captain Combo was by far the homerun hitter here (sometimes you gotta venture out the city and go the cut to get some great eats) and I was beyond satisfied with the customer service and the portion of food that came with it. The crawfish boudin was magnificent. The gumbo was the deal sealer there (the best in New Orleans in opinion). And the soft shell crab was excellent (you can literally eat the entire crab shell and all). When I come back to New Orleans (or past through) I will be back to get the boiled crabs and the crawfish and corn. Great job Capt. Sal's.
