Loveee the food. Outdoor sitting was nice. But I would recommend to ask for a big portion of sauce on the side. They’ve been giving out so little. Rather than that everything is good.

Have been to Tasty Pot on and off with friends since they opened 2 years ago. It is a good addition to Newark. If you have been to Boiling Point, you know you get an individualized Taiwanese hot pot with rice or rice noodle, they offer beef, lamb, seafood, Japanese miso, Korean Kim Chi, vegetarian and other kind of pots, all tasty except too much cabbage - just learn that you can ask for No Cabbage. Nice and clean place to chat with friends when it is not busy. Avoid Friday or Saturday night before 9pm as wait time can be half hour or longer. Good thing is that they close at 11pm and are close to my home.

Chinese hot pot on budget, more affordable than competitors. Take out tip: don’t be lazy and reheat your hot pot. Add extra hot water to balance out the vaporized water. It will be as good as dining in. I wish they would give more sauce than 2 puny cups. They don’t cost that much now.

Ordering with your phone is convenient, but it didn't work on my LG v60; had to use my girlfriend's iPhone. Food is great. Servers are slow to respond to requests (we asked for a togo lid and it took forever)

One of the few things you can't get as take-out (or at least it won't be as good) is hot pot. I had been thinking about it for a while (thanks to a certain someone...) and I just had to find a way to get it. I drove by it one day to scope it out, and you can see they had full outdoor dining under a tent with tables spread out pretty far apart (see picture). I decided it was safe enough, so I brought my parents and we had our one and only experience of outdoor dining during Covid-19. Might as well experience it while I could, yanno?
