I love this place, it is like my hidey hole of a grocery store. I am a woman on a budget, and so I am happy buying the weekly boxes. They keep me healthy, and help me regulate how much I spend a week on foods. I am a simple gal, who can eat just about anything that comes in. I buy some dried beans, and brown rice to go with. I cook them all up, with the greens, and make pretty low-key but healthy meals. This way I can be poor (Which is what on a budget really means) while eating rich. The health changes I have felt in shopping here versus the other local alternative has been immense. Likewise, I like feeding my mom and pop and neighborhood at the same time. There are many things that surpass money, and health and quality live here. Doesn't hurt that the staff, as well as the energy of the store, are very down to earth and friendly. So those of you also on a budget, join me in simple and healthy eats! Buy a box, get some filler, grab some beans. Let's eat our way to health!

If you are looking for a cheap grocery experence do not come here. New leaf is dedicated to fair trade, local farmers, and gluten free or other healthy small business options. The prices are higher than expected but think about the quality of food you are purchasing. They have excellent bagels for 69 cents and brew local delicious coffee. They are in the heart of Rogers Park. Great Mom & Pop vibe. Feel free to order, have a seat and read a local newspaper then take a walk across the street to a local gallery.

We have been getting the weekly produce box from New Leaf for several months now. The quality and variety is always great and there have been no issues with the delivery. The service was easy to set up too. I have not been to the store yet but I can highly recommend the delivery service.

Cozy, neighborhood, beautiful atmosphere, 'corner store' feel with organic and local products. Prices comparable with other organic grocers. Staff is great. Get a box of produce every week for 15. Highly recommended. Support your local organic grocers like New Leaf.

Love love love this place! Great local, friendly organic neighborhood market.Staff is wonderful, prices easily competitive with other organic groceries. Great place to swing by to pick up the meal for the night.

Very interesting place to buy organic foods & products, but the prices are so high. Friendly workers though and knowledgeable on every product they have and the reason they carry something or don't. I would shop here again but maybe they need to jus lower there prices just a tad bit :-)

The space is very small so if there are more than two customers at a time the space feels cramped. There is very little in terms of produce which I guess they try to make up for with their weekly produce boxes. The prices are pretty standard for natural food stores.

There doesn't seem to be other stores near here that offer the products I use so New Leaf was a nice surprise. Yes,some of their fruits and veg looked tired but they had some local apricots that were wonderful.
