We have subscribed to the Star Banner for over 25 years and had a handful of problems throughout that time. In June of 2020 our service changed. Numerous problems with a new carrier. When I complained to customer service nothing changed. I called everytime we had a problem and nothing changed no improvement in our service. It actually started to get worse. So I cancelled my subscription and guess what? I'm not even in Ocala but my neighbor called today and said the carrier has faithfully delivered my paper every day since I've been out of town! Even though I no longer have a subscription. Now they want to charge me for every paper delivered since I cancelled! Now I'm trying to call them about the papers they keep delivering and two phone numbers listed are 1. Not being answered and 2. Customer service line is automated and my problem is not one of the options so I keep going around in circles trying to talk to someone so I put my phone number in so they would call me back and no one ever did! I don't know what's going on but they SUCK!

It was a good job opportunity, friendly and courteous supervisors, the job was easy to learn and do, the company is engaged in the daily print media, such as newspapers, advertisements

I called the newspaper wanting information about placing an ad but after 35:44, I decided that there are other sources more worthy of my time and money.

Pathetic might well describe the Ocala StarBanner. There are multiple phone numbers for the paper, none of which are answered by live employees. The StarBanner charges 2.00 a day...the Villages newspaper charges .50 a day but unfortunately they won't home deliver in Ocala. Oh yeah; the proof-reading on the StarBanner is non-existent and captions read like a 2nd grader write them...for over 700.00 a year?
