I cannot tell everyone how much this place saved my life. Straight from the solutions laid out in the Big Book. Line by line, word by word. Just what I needed. Joe and Newell and Ira and Joshua and ALL THE STAFF, are part of my family. This is serious business and they are serious about helping people. I can’t recommend this place enough. I am eternally grateful for my experience. ️

I was very impressed with the exceptional support and help my husband received during his stay there. It was one of the best decisions we made for him to go to your facilities. He is a totally a different person and he is ready to challenge himself to remain sober. I would highly recommend Origen Recovery at SPI . Hanley Center at Origins saved my life! They provide a safe, structured and supportive environment to give you the opportunity to heal. I finally learned what I was suffering from as well as the solution. They provide excellent aftercare recommendations and stay connected to all alumni - near and far. If you’re on the fence and are blessed with the opportunity to actually go to treatment, DO IT!!! Best thing you’ll ever do.Such a sacred place - They gave me my life back!
Origins taught me what I needed to know in order to stay sober, and yesterday I celebrated 15 months sober. I have recoverED. The staff at Origins is exceptional! From the top all the way down to the other top. I had been to treatment twice before years ago, but it just didn't "work" for me. Some of that was a program that wasn't 12 Step-oriented. Origins IS, and the counselors, speakers, and ENTIRE staff are. That's huge! The other reason treatment didn't work for me before is that I wasn't willing to do anything different. Oh sure, I wanted different results for my life. I just didn't want to make any changes. I'm disappointed to see a review on here that says Origins is a "waste of time". That's unfortunate, and I hope that the person who wrote it realizes the only thing he or she is boycotting is freedom from this disease. I, too, was once an "arrogant princess", blaming everybody else and unwilling to admit that I was my problem. Origins taught me the solution. I still use it every day.
In August of 2012 I arrived at Origins in South Padre Island a physically, mentally, spiritually broken, and defeated man. I had a profound experience as result of simply following the guidance of the treatment team , and following through with whatever was suggested of me. I will be forever grateful to Origins for helping safe my life.
Words can’t describe how special this place is. I had been to 4 other programs and the moment I arrived at Origins I knew they had something bigger going on, more than what meets the eye. The way the staff interacted with the patients and the passion they had for recovery was infectious. Recovery was EXCITING and EMPOWERING. Origins gave me my life back and gave me a sense of purpose when I thought I had none.
I completed this program in early 2013. I have been sober since then. This place is amazing. The staff care and want the best for all the clients that walk through those doors. They are in recovery as well and pass along the knowledge and experience to all the clients that are willing to hear it. I recommend this place to anyone who seeks freedom of drugs and alcohol because this place personally helped me in my journey.
I went to Origins in the spring of 2017. I was hopeless and incapable of stringing even two days of sobriety together. After 20 years of chronic alcoholism and drug addiction, I figured my fate was sealed. To me, sobriety meant boredom and misery. With the help of amazing counselors, passionate 12 step recovery coaches and a very supportive community, I was able to find a power that allows me to live happily and purposefully in sobriety. Life is good. I can never thank the team at Origins enough or recommend this place highly enough. If you are hopeless in addiction, and truly want to recover, Origins has a solution for you.
