I gave him my boots to repair before Covid hit. Really nice guy and seem to have a great knowledge of his craft. I tried to set up time to pick up the boots once they were finished but he was very non-responsive. I've been waiting to get my boots back since March. I understand that things are hard right now but he is not responding to me at all. It's very frustrating. I paid in advance and I have no boots.

To summarize as the full story is too long, Pablo took a few days longer than quoted and kept forgetting who I was. At one point, the shoes were in different places in his shop with the deposit tag nowhere to be found and I was left hanging when he didn't show up at the time he specified which can be found in the text screenshot below. I took pictures of his work. The edges of the rubber applied to the sole look fine but the skimming to meet the rubber to the sole on the bottom is not great. For what I paid (50 which is about 20 more than I've paid for the same service before for better work), I am a little disappointed. I will say though that he conditioned the shoes and polished them a little although when he offered it, it seemed like that came complimentary not as an extra charge.

I never, ever write reviews even after bad experiences but this was so awful I cannot keep it to myself. I wish I had a read a review like this before I decided to get my shoes fixed here. Came in and tried Pablo's out to replace the faux stacked leather finish and fix the heels on a pair of nice grey, suede shoes. Quoted me 100 (cash only) and 2 weeks to complete. It was six weeks later when I picked up my shoes (after repeated phone calls and stops into the shop, being repeatedly promised it would only be another day or two). The new stacked leather was completely the wrong color and applied horrendously (it should be parallel to the ground, like on all other shoes, but it was placed at a 45 degree angle to the ground). When I brought this to his attention and brought up pictures on my phone as to how the stacked leather should look, he said the pictures were all photo shopped and that no, this is the way stacked leather is applied. His solution was to paint the stacked leather a dark brown. I should add that there were multiple marks on the suede itself from this brown paint and now that I've had the shoes back for a few weeks, the brown paint is starting to transfer to the suede if the toe brushes against the painted heel. Ten out of ten would never come here again, unless I needed something very basic done on on a cheap pair of shoes and had infinite time for it to be completed.

These guys fixed a pair of leather flip-flops which I thought might be unrepairable. PLEASE don't throw your broken shoes away! These guys can fix them.
