This is a fantastic historical spot in ohio. The fort is awesome. the museum very nicely set up and they have a lot of artifacts found at the fort. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the fort. They have a nice little gift shop. There are walking paths and handicap parking along with a handicap accessible entrance to the museum. There are restrooms for paid museum customers only. They accept cash and credit. I would highly recommend visiting this amazing historical site.

It was very nice. Things were well kept. The only things that were less than, was a misspelling on one of the entries & one display made of glass panels had plastic coating on it that was peeling. We had a pleasant walk around the fort area. We enjoyed all the bunkhouses. The obelisk was an unexpected feature. I grew up near Erie,PA & had often heard of Commodore Perry. I hadn't realized that he had such an impact at Fort Meigs. I enjoyed having those pieces of history put together.

One of the best historical sites I've visited. Very interesting and memorable to see and visit. The outside reconstructed fort is by far the best part. If you don't know much about the War of 1812 or live in the area and are wishing to learn some native history, then I highly recommend stopping by.

An awesome experience for anyone who loves Ohio and or US history. The expansive museum and largest wooden fort in the United States will leave you amazed as to the accomplishments of our forefathers. Nice staff and clean facilities. Make sure you leave time to spend up to 3 hours here.

I was here with friends on a history get away and this is a first rate place to visit!!! If you love War of 1812 history or any military history, this is the place for you!!! Very interesting and well presented displays and all staff were most helpful. Audio visual information was very helpful please start your tour in the visitors center. This will better explain what you will see in the fort. There were also WW2 reenactors present who were very informative. Plan to spend a good chunk of time here as it is so so so interesting!!! Well worth the time and effort to go here. Loved it!!!
