What a wonderful gem to discover. I visited this restaurant during the pandemic and I was pleased that they abide by all of the social distancing and mask wearing guidelines. The server was fantastic. He made us feel so welcome and knew every detail about the menu. The cold soup was one of the best I have ever had. I was extremely weary about cold soup but the server insisted it was delicious and he did not disappoint. The homemade bread was Absolutely delicious. My only disappointment was the pan seared scallops. The flavor was wonderful but there was not enough crust on the scallops for my liking and they were served lukewarm. The fish with the brown butter foam sauce was tender and perfectly seasoned/seared. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will definitely visit the restaurant again.

At least twice a week we are trying to patronize some of the restaurants in Philadelphia who are offering takeout and delivery while table service is shut down. Forsythia is doing a wonderful job with the limited menus it has selected and the smart way it has worked the pickup times to expedite the process for everyone. We enjoyed very much the rigatoni with duck ragu and the duck breast with endive and sides of roast cauliflower and mushrooms. The olive oil cake too was first rate. Prices are very reasonable for the value.
This restaurant is no doubt one of the most pleasant restaurants in the area. Every time I go there I am profoundly happy. They hold their very high level service and the highest level of meals they provide. You will be always satisfied with this place. Warmly recommended.
Forsythia was more than an amazing meal it was an experience. Jennifer was amazing she is knowledgeable and excited about the cuisine and she truly enjoys when you are enjoying yourself. The food was on another level the chef is so brilliant with his flavors and course conception it is truly an experience. Do not miss out on the first chance you have to go to forsythia and ask for Jennifer and get the duck and a vesper martini and I promise it will be one of the best experiences you ever had.
Do you want to eat a piece of art? I know it might sound creepy to eat an artwork, but believe me, this is the first thing that comes to your mind when you see the duck: ps: the restaurant has no way but to put its dine out service on the unsmooth sidewalk. So blame the government for the sauce that is spreading all over the plate!
