Someone shot twice close to my house at 4am this morning, I went outside and did not see any problems. My front windows were fine and it was quiet on the street. 2 hours later I opened the shade to the window that leads to my side yard and saw that that window was shattered and a bullet hole in my screen. I called the police at 6:30am and asked for a police officer to come over and explained the situation. In the meantime I went outside looking for the bullets and noticed that the first bullet had hit the wood molding around my window leaving a deep hole, it was the second shot that went through my window. NINE HOURS LATER at 3:30pm an officer showed up, he was shown the window and I was told that it must have been kids throwing rocks, not a gun. I know what a gun sounds like and I don't think a kid could throw a rock hard enough to penetrate the wood molding. I guess in this day and age when there is no one you can count on to help, you just have to help yourself. The next time this happens I will fire back at them and have my own justice. \TO SERVE AND PROTECT\ what a joke! I'm sure they took their time out to have lunch while I was home missing work waiting for help.

Undoubtedly, the sorriest of law enforcement agencies are the group that makes up the Phoenix area. This area is highly dangerous with drivers that are constantly treating the speed limit signs like polite suggestions (at best), who believe a cell phone in hand is part of the driving experience and who seem to believe that it’s ok to be the 3rd, 4th or even 5th vehicle to roll through a red light. The fact that this can be seen everyday in any given part of the Phoenix area (Chandler, Tempe, etc...), is viable proof of the absolutely heinous, apathetic approach of these law enforcement groups. You guys are lazy, disgusting hypocrites. SHAME on you!

I heard small caliber gunfire east of me a few minutes ago and called the non-emergency number. The phone was answered quickly and the woman answering the phone was courteous and professional. I reported the gunshots and she asked if I wanted police officers to respond. I told her I didn't have more information than that and didn't think it was necessary. She thanked me for the information and the call ended. I had to go down there once a few years back about my son being offered some stolen property and received the same polite consideration in person. I also flagged an officer down recently just to report my concern over an irrigation problem possibly causing flooding and the officer remained onsite until the issue was resolved. When situations are calm and testosterone is not in the air, I've always found our local police to be quite polite and approachable, and I appreciate that immensely. The Department of Public Service could use a few lessons from our local police on how to treat people. When I was attacked by a road rager a few months ago, DPS officers came to my house, told me THEIR version of what happened, tried to force me to agree with them and told me to shut up when I corrected THEIR version of the story. If you're attacked and you WIN, be careful if you're dealing with the DPS. In THEIR eyes, the loser is always the victim.

Expect it to take over an hour for the police to show up to a call.
