We love this place! Jason and his team are doing an incredible job. We have not been dining in for a while, but the Playground 2.0 experiences were definitely my highlights in the last 3 years. We're now enjoying take-outs and specials (super excited what you're coming up with on Valentine's Day!). The variety and quality of ingredients are unmatched here in the area. Just wanted to say thank you!

Second time doing playground 2.0 and I have to say both have been some of my most memorable foodie experiences. Jason is just a master at what he does. A truly gifted chef. I love hearing about the food, the narrative becomes a part of the culinary experience and us humans love a good story. It really does elevate the entire experience to have the chef come out to explain his food. Thanks for being good food to OC. Please don't stop. We are excited to see what new things come from Jason.
Throughout our entire time here I felt very at home and comfortable, as if a friend's mother invited me into her home to eat. My husband had taken it upon himself to order us all coffee at the completion of our meal and I am so glad he did, that in itself was a wonderful experience. First she brought out the beans as they were roasting to show us and have us smell, she said this was a traditional custom and I loved it! She then brought out the coffee pot and little cups and served us all. The coffee was delicious, worth the wait, and totally made with love - I could taste it. Whenever I have another hankering for Ethiopian food, I will definitely be back!
So, so, so good in person anytime I've eaten in for years and also amazing as take-away on Thanksgiving. I recommend trying at least one thing you wouldn't normally order because everything is better than nearly anywhere else. And thanksgiving sides were amazing!!!!!!! Never thought I'd go for seconds (and thirds) on cabbage.
I was lucky enough to be invited to dinner at Playground 2.0 by my boyfriend's cousin and her husband. We enjoyed \Veggies (and Friends) Are Awesome\ and to be honest, who knew a full vegetarian meal could be so delish!?! This meal took us through 12 dishes (3 Italian, 3 Thai, 3 Japanese and 3 dessert). I am so sad to have not taken any pictures of my meal at Playground 2.0 but I didn't want to be THAT person at our dinner party... so I can't fully remember each dish. I also probably blacked out because they were all so good. But from what I can remember I enjoyed the salad served from the Italian course and the salad from the Thailand course. We also did the pairing with the meal which we left fully satisfied. We found two different wines that we enjoyed and hope that we can find in our local market to enjoy at home. Due to COVID, this experience has been moved outside, which makes for a pretty intimate setting as well. I enjoyed the explanation and inspiration of each dish, as well as where they get their lovely ingredients. The chef and other employees do a great job of going around to each table getting to know their guests and such. They even found out my boyfriend likes to eat meat, that they cooked a rib-eye for him to enjoy with his vegetarian meal (he felt so guilty that they cooked meat just for him). I really enjoyed this experience and hopefully you can enjoy it as well! Just be sure to reserve in advance (or at least know people who have the hookups P)!
