After getting a review from a work colleague and liking the plans and thinking Neal was nice, we decided to move forward with our pool and pavilion build with Neal Puckett of Pond Spring Custom Pools pondspringscustompools.com and it was a huge mistake. I glossed over the early red flag of Neal’s very slow or lack of responses thinking it would change once we started our project… it didn’t. Things started fine after we waited for him to secure the city permit to build the pool project… things started ok but ended taking of 5 months longer than Neal quoted. Neal had every excuse when he would respond. It was always someone else’s fault… What made things go from bad to horrible is that at the end of the project Neal Puckett suddenly changed his tune when he wanted final payment that we didn’t need a permit to build our pool or support walls. He flat out LIED and built our pool / project without a permit… after saying in writing that he did have what was required to start the project. While he's said he'll get the permits completed it's now been 7 months with no progress and as usual a complete lack of response. If his quote seems less than other contractors it’s likely because he’s cutting corners like he did with my project not bothering to pay to get permits and the costs associated with that. It didn't work as I paid for that as a part of my project and expected that it was built in accordance of the city and most importantly permitted. It isn't complete until this is all done. Buyer beware and as I did always ensure your project is completed as outlined in your contract before making final payment.

I feel awful that it's taken me a year to write this review but I had an awesome experience with Pond Springs Custom Pools! I own a dog daycare and boarding facility and I originally wanted a bone shaped pool but I didn't quite have the budget for that. Neal helped me design the most creative pool with a bone shaped island and a fire hydrant fountain which I actually like better. My customers love it and the dogs love it , and it's held up to the test of time. Neal suggested we use gunnite instead of plaster due to the dog nails which no other pool designer had mentioned to me. He stuck to his draw schedule, he got it done on time (never happens with contractors) and he was pleasant and fun to work with! This pool is the staple of our business and one of the main reasons several clients come to us. If you're considering using Pond Springs Custom pools, please come see ours at Jumping Jack Dog Ranch! We chose to partner with Pond Springs Custom Pools over other companies because we believe in their highly personalized and professional approach. Neal Puckett not only designed an amazing pool that fits our sloped yard, but also fits our lifestyle. Despite the insane increase in construction projects, Neal keeps us informed on timing and changes due to COVID. We truly feel like we have a partner looking out for us, and ensuring that our shared vision comes to life. We're midway through construction...and can't wait to post final pictures!

Warning do not use this company if you are thinking about adding a pool! We initially hired this company because we thought the salesman Neal was being professional, knowledgeable. During initial down payment, Neal was available for questions, coming by to check on things. Work was done promptly and everything seemed fine. We did have a few issues initially that he eventually fixed. Backyard flooding because self filling feature faulty. After final payment . That's pretty much when we saw the last of him. Calls, texts, emails. Unanswered. Less than 2 yrs later pool has cracks , concrete around pool and patio cracked . Neal did come by 2weeks ago and said. Pool cracks easy to fix and he would be back . Still no response . . . Do not hire this company ! Management please feel free to call me.
