Took my wife's CRV here to have the airbags replaced due to a recall. I requested an inspection sticker, oil change (which was on sale) and a tire rotation. They emailed me a list of things that needed to be fixed, (new tires to pass the inspection, tps sensor, catalytic converter, spark plugs, etc.) I asked that they replace the tires because the price was comparable to other places. When I picked up the car, they charged me for the tire rotation, (what did they rotate, the new tires?) and tried to charge me full price instead of the sale price for the oil change. Also, it passed inspection, so I guess the catalytic converter is fine. The service tech told me I had a faulty tps sender that needed to be replaced and the light was on, i declined and drove the car to the gas station and checked the tire pressure: 2 tires were over inflated by 10 lbs, and 1 was under inflated by 5 lbs. Once I put the correct pressure in the tires, the light went off. Conclusion...I won't do business here, if their garage is this eager to rip off its customers, I can't imagine what the sales dept. will do.

This is a very organized, friendly and clean dealer that offers incredibly overpriced service. If you are the kind of person who doesn’t mind paying 2X for peace of mind and a fancy waiting room then go for it. I’ve come here twice over the past ten years and both times it’s a shocking price that I feel insulted. Typically I take all my Hondas to a smaller foreign motor specialist and they charge a clear hourly rate and work hard to find reasonable approaches to repairs - knowing that owners can’t always afford the most expensive option. We discuss various options to address the issue, have honey discussions about what needs to be repaired (or what can wait) so I know I am making the right decisions. This place offers one bloated price for each service required and you don’t talk with the service tech - instead a “middle man” who is friendly but not a trained mechanic. I came back recently just to install a towing hitch - literally FOUR bolts into predrilled holes. It should take 30 minutes. They quoted me 3 hrs for 460 !! that’s evidently the rate for “aftermarket hitches”. I asked and NO they won’t charge me less if it takes much less time. Oh and the replacing a light bulb cost 48!! I declined the service and took the van to a local service station and both items there cost me 120 total.

Went to Prime Honda 128 in Reading, MA to Purchase a new car 3 weeks ago, unfortunately the deal did not go through. I have been reaching out to the dealership now for over 2 weeks trying to get my 1500 deposit back. I’ve called every day and have been passed from a sales rep to two managers so far and have still not received my deposit back. Everyday I am told they are checking status on the refund and I will receive a call back. Not once have they reached out to me. This has been the worst customer service I ever experienced, they act like your best friend when they can potentially make money and once that part is over they ignore you. The latest I was told is that the check was sent out on Monday and it is now Saturday. At this point I feel as if they are just lying to me and trying to steal my money. Unsatisfied prime Honda 128 Reading customer who will never shop there or recommend to anyone looking for a positive car shopping experience.

I want to recognize Chuck Shaw in the Service department. I first met Chuck when he worked for Mercedes Benz of Boston and he was my #1 go to. He goes above & beyond to make sure he exceeds expectations. He never leaves me without transportation no matter what the situation is with my vehicle. I recently took my Mum's car to the Honda dealership in Reading to be detailed. WOW WOW WOW. They did such an incredible job that I'm sending 4 more friends/family vehicles to you folks. Came in on a busy Saturday. A nice older gentleman chatted with me and looked to get a service person, was very personable. Danny was my service person, was very busy but very professional, shook my hand and let me know an estimated time and what services I needed. Waiting room was comfortable. A manager came through the waiting room and checked on every person and gave out snacks, which was very nice. Bathroom was clean. A front desk girl came and check on everyone waiting and offered to run out back to get multiple updates for people. Staff seemed to work really hard and be very professional.
