My friend, Alex figured we would try this place instead of our usual spot. On a Saturday afternoon nonetheless. Not sure if the restaurant is under new ownership, but it didn't matter. These folks hit it out of the park. We started with soup dumplings (2 servings). Keep in mind there are only 2 of us, but we can eat for a family of 4. For the main course, we opted for the pork shoulder, fried rice, and orange chicken. We underestimated the portion sizes; they were huge. And the quality was amazing. If you didn't know it was pork, you wouldn't have known. Dessert was pumpkin sticky rice with egg yolks and red bean paste. From start to finish, the service was awesome, the food was great and there were leftovers for 2 days. We will definitely be back.

2019.04 good food. Great taste. Not too heavy. All food taste just right. Not too salty or too light. It is on the light side. Not like other Shanghai. Heavy tasty. That is good. Their spicy food also good. Not the hot spicy. It is the numb style. Cool right.

Soup Dumplings: 5/5 Pan-fried Dumplings: 5/5 Sesame Chicken: 3/5 Pumpkin Cake: 1/5 Affordability: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Overall Impression: 4/5 This is clearly a place where your order should consist of dumplings. Both the soup dumplings and pan-fried dumplings were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The soup dumplings actually came free with an order of \u003e20 which was a huge plus making the affordability one of the best in the area for eating out. The Sesame Chicken was good, but nothing to brag about over chain restaurant Sesame Chicken. The pumpkin cake was not good. My taste buds are not up for the sticky, playdough texture of it. However it was free, so it was an interesting try, but won't be happening again. Service was great, but it took a while for our table to be approached initially (20 minutes). If you go, it should be for the dumplings.

The most hearty vegetarian dumplings I had from a soup dumpling spot. It's so hard to find vegetarian dumplings in a bamboo steamer with have veggie wrappings. The price is fairly cheap too, 6 dollars for 6 dumplings. The veggies inside are finely chopped and mix well together, when you take the first bite, you can really see the vibrancy of the vegetable mix. The place is very authentic with cute toy plushies sitting by the wall, posters for bubble tea, and the staff is very attentive. If you like pork soup dumpling, they give you free soup dumplings if you order more than 20 dollars worth of food.
