I can not recommend Shannon enough... She is a strong, intelligent, loving, comforting, and inspiring woman. She fit perfectly into our birthing experience. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and she was never over bearing she was always there with exactly what we needed. She helped my husband become more active in our labor process and she helped me keep my spirits high by being nothing short of a friend. We only saw her twice before my birth but her presence seemed like I had known her forever. She is a very personable person with such an amazing spirit. She also was always there for my 2000 questions I had along the way before birth (thanks girl). When I say I can not recommend her enough I mean it. Every woman needs Shannon on her birthing team. Trust me she is worth everything. I can honestly say I loved my birthing experience and a huge part of that goes out to this woman.

Shannon was my doula for both of my children (now 6 and 3). She has years of experience and provided support and comfort for my husband and myself so I could just focus on my birth. Having her there really helped my husband. She aided me at a birth center and at a hospital. This is a snapshot of one birth I pulled from a memory book. Shannon’s emotion, physical, and professional insight was a huge support during my journeys.
We recently hired Shannon Church as our doula, and it was the best decision we could have made! She assisted us in so many ways through providing recommendations and advice through emails during the pregnancy and she was a guiding presence throughout the entirety of my labor and delivery. She provided support, encouragement, recommendations on positioning, and hands-on techniques such as back massage which were invaluable for helping me have the best birthing experience. She was attentive to my needs and wishes, was in tune with my birthing preferences and advocated for me throughout my labor and delivery. She also took wonderful photos (with my permission) of my son’s birth which I will treasure forever. Shannon is very knowledgeable, compassionate, empathetic, and easy to work with. She made my son’s birth such a positive experience. Highly recommended!!
Shannon was a huge blessing during my birth. She supported my home birth attempt and followed us to the hospital for a transfer. At the hospital she helped me communicate with staff and eased my concerns. At the end we had a healthy and relaxed momma and baby. Every step of the way Shannon was amazing at supporting both myself and my husband. I would recommend her practice, and will use her if we have another baby!
Jessica was our doula. She was absolutely wonderful. She was such a great support while we had our first child, having no idea what we were about to walk through. She has had a variety of her own labor and delivery experiences which really helped guide me. My husband said it was financially the best money we have spent. We are beyond grateful!!! Thank you Jessica and all of you women for how you help and support women through this very life defining event!!
If I could give a 10 star review I would! Shannon was present at the birth of both of our babies, one at the birthing center and one at home. She has a smile and presence that instantly calms you. My husband says she was worth every penny and more. From her gentle touch, encouraging words, prayers, and reminders all throughout labor and delivery, she helped create beautiful and calming births for both my girls. She is a phenomenal doula and you will not regret having here there to support you when you are bringing your babies into the world.
Best birthing plan ever! Shannon has been at both of our children’s births. We are forever grateful for her encouragement, expertise, guidance, and support. Her non-judgmental, peaceful spirit brings calm and order to the birth process. Whatever type of birth you want or think you want, include Shannon’s services. You will not be disappointed and will earn a sweet friend as well. We love our doula!
Shannon was an answer to prayers for us and I would rate VintageDOULA much higher than five stars if I could! She helped me to conquer any fears or reservations I had before our second baby was born. After meeting with her for the first time, I felt I was as ready and as calm as I could be. She helped me to have *two* dream births! Her soft, comforting voice, her amazing level of experience, her calming presence, and her vast knowledge of the laboring process made for a superb level of support. For our third baby's birth, my husband was overseas and was unable to make it home. I knew that with Shannon's help, I could still have the beautiful birth experience I hoped for--and I did! Shannon is truly phenomenal at what she does and has an amazing gift. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Shannon for all that you do and all that you have done for our family!
