An incredible place to camp while on your way to Valdez. The atmosphere is quite tranquile, and the river is rich in salmons. Copper Center is one of Alaska’s hotspots for fishing sockeye salmon and many anglers come here from all over the state.

We loved our time at this easily accessible campground. Our host was pleasant and helpful. The river provided a relaxing atmosphere. We are the first campers of the season and are glad to know that the staff are reading and implementing mandates for Covid 19. We felt safe and definitely “social distanced!”
