Great food that was cooked fresh. It was a cold night so we were happy to have them give us the clam chowder right after we ordered and sat down. The outdoor dining is a cute setting and has a heat lamp. Great food and friendly staff.

Always fresh, delicious, and professional service! Tried the Fish & Chips this time. Two large portions of thick, beer battered Cod, with Cold Slaw and fries. Served with both malt vinegar and tartar sauce. Also, plenty of food, so worth the expense. Possibly best seafood in San Diego.
This place continues to thrive on from it's famous appearance on the Food Network Diners, Drive-in, and Dives. A local favorite, the food eat in or take out is simply just fantastic! Joined the crowd in line, you want be disappointed.
I'm going to give this place four stars despite how bad their fish and chips were. I acknowledge that taste is subjective and no one in my family cares for beer batter on fish or most anything else. It's just too thick. We come from the home of the best fish and chips on earth and we are particular so that doesn't help but the real deal breaker was that the fish clumped together and the battery was so uncooked that it was runny. that was just gross. The reason for the good rating is that the rest of the food was fantastic and they graciously fixed the issue with our fish. we were too grossed out to continue with it so they swapped us out for a shrimp po' boy, which was awesome. Also awesome was the calamari and the clam chowder which featured what I estimate were the largest pieces of clam we've ever had in chowder. It was so good. the service was friendly and the employees very nice and helpful. We'll definitely be back during our next visit and we'll just skip the fish and chips.
