This is an awesome local shop! They have some of the best banh mi! You should definitely check this place out if you want to support a local business. I had been looking for a banh mi shop for quite some time before finding this place. I didn't want to go Lee's because I prefer a different style of baguette. The baguette is softer and fluffier and the contents of the sandwich are simple that way you can taste the bread more. It also comes with complimentary snacks and tea when its available which is a plus!!! This is all under 7 which is a fantastic deal!!! The owners are wonderful people and they are always friendly. They always remember your name and order and are some of the nicest small business owners I've ever met. The photo is pre-covid.

Worth every second of the 500 yard detour off McKinley. I'm old enough to be jaded. Sometimes your just hungry, and want to pass on the corporatist reminder that your hunger is a well curated quality versus profits math equation at Ernst and Young. If you just want a great quality sandwich at a price that shows respect for how hard you work for your money, stop here now. I'm a Subway refugee with no home. I've wandered to Deli Delicious, lured by their fries and simple menu system with only...37 options. Then Jersey Mike's arrived in Fresno and offered even better quality sandwiches at an even more inflated price. I felt like giving up. Soon I'd be ordering my turkey on wheat along side the requisite loan application. Lets face it, being a simple, classic sandwich consumer in 2020 is tough. Convenience is a factor, sure, but I've earned a Ph.D in sandwich economics while observing quality decline and prices go up. I thought Deli Delicious resolved the debate, but Jersey Mike's appeared and offered the quality Subway and Deli Delicious used to possess. The result? I'm paying 15 for a lunch at Jersey Mikes, and I feel robbed every single time. I stumbled upon the Sandwich Shoppe by accident. Maybe I was distracted, but I never saw the million dollar logo and franchisee approved ads on tv before I came in and ordered a sandwich. Is this what Jersey Mike's could have been, but for their Madison Avenue obsession with shameless marketing (no offense to Jersey Mike's and their thick wax paper)?! I've attached a photo of my meal. Long after I ate it. It was amazing. Good portions of meat without the asteriks and hidden fees like ahem...you know who...After all, how can you trust a review if they had enough restraint to filter their meal through a photo booth before eating? Amazing place. Amazing owners. Amazing prices. Worth the 5 second detour off McKinley.

Close to my job. Chicken tortilla soup. OMG Also got half a turkey sandwich on the softest bread and it was served by the sweetest little lady. Great service. Will DEFINITELY be visiting again and trying other items on their menu.
