Best scone I've ever had! I think it was fig & brown sugar? So good. Also super excited about the hot sauce and honey I picked up. Can't wait to show my husband this place.

I haven't been to SBK in about 2 years. It is just as consistent as it was when it opened. Quality food, awesome service and an all-around great atmosphere. Thanks for yet another great lunch!
Ordered pickup from SBK today and was not disappointed! The sausage breakfast sandwich had a unique seasoning to it, and the patty was THICK. The Focaccia was very tasty as well.
I stopped in last week for a very-needed coffee after work, having read good reviews of their brew. The coffee was on point, and that's coming from someone who worked at a specialty coffee shop for almost 2 years. But even better than that was the experience. I walked in to see Mike, one of the owners, having a friendly conversation with a couple of customers. He was incredibly friendly to me as well, and made me feel right at home. Especially in Chicago, it can be so difficult to find a place with a small-town feel that makes you feel welcome and known. I'll definitely be stopping by again soon! Thanks, Mike!
I loves me some Sauce and Bread. The staff is down to earth and very friendly. It’s the only place worth paying for a grilled cheese because it has texture and somehow is sweet, savory and spicy!?!? I always stock up on the sauces, a couple of produce items, that bread (phenomenal), & a tasty sweet treat. Love this place, I travel over 30 mins to get there totally worth it.
Great pizza that cannot be missed. But come back for brilliant fresh and creative baked goods, sweet and savory, and pick up some of the fun hot sauces, coffee and infused honey. Basically this place is powerfully good. Plus, some proceeds support access to arts for high schoolers.
With this place, people are going over the tops with 5 Stars. Though I have never been here, I actually want to.
Excellent breads and pastries and they make a great pizza on Friday nights! Staff are friendly and I am often served by the owners themselves. They have an excellent little collection of pantry fare and a cooler with prepared foods such as krauts, sausages and beverages and whatever farm produce is in season. This is a hidden gem, absolutely worth your visit.
