I have been a member at 7th Reformed for over 5 years and my family and I are glad to be members at the church. Seventh Reformed is a family of believers seeking to follow God in way that is in line with how God commands us to live in the Bible. Nobody at the church is perfect, and that is why we need God's gift of salvation and the help of the Holy Spirit to help us become more like Christ every day. As someone who is a lay leader in the church, I think our church can best described as a church in a time of transition. We are transitioning from being a church that is very traditional and heavily influenced by it's Dutch cultural roots to a church that honors its Dutch roots, but is welcoming to people from all backgrounds. We do have members and attendees from a variety of cultural backgrounds and we are blessed by their presence and what they contribute to the church family. Another aspect of this is taking steps to incorporate both old and new songs in our worship services. Finally, we have many programs, events, and gatherings that are open for anyone to attend. So, if you're not comfortable coming into the building on a Sunday morning or evening but still want to get to know who we are and what we are like as followers of Jesus, there are plenty of ways to get connected. We are trying to love our neighbors well and sometimes mistakes are made just like in every human relationship, but our goal is to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves.
