It's unfortunate because I drove 7 hrs from out of state to have an in person consult with Mr. Hammond in early Nov 2020. I was very excited to have him on my case after the consult he seemed very knowledgeable and motivated to help me out. I paid the full retainer he was asking on day 1. That was the last time i spoke with Mr. Hammond about my case. After that I made several attempts via email and phone to get in contact it seemed each time I spoke with or emailed a different staff member from his office. I had a change in my case and was informed by a secretary that my retainer would go up. No problem. I spent the next two weeks trying to find out how much more I had to pay and a way to pay since their credit card machine was down. Eventually they stopped returning my messages. A month later they reached out for a phone consultation so I took time off work to be available for the time they set. I called the office and Mr. Hammond was not there for our scheduled time and they never called back. So I sought new legal help. I requested a refund to my retainer since they basically did no work on my case and of course no reply so I'm sure I'll never see that money. It's again unfortonate because Mr. Hammond seemed like a great lawyer to work with.

Shawn did multible unethical actions during our court case. He hurt our case and makes deals behind doors with every one from the other lawyer, to even talking to and helping the other side. He set us up by picking a Guardian Adlightem that was friends with the lawyer He recommended to the other side. He will take your money and and leave you in a worse place than when you started. Do not even take a chance on this guy. He will be disbarred some day if he continues on the pace he's on.

I was stationed in Hawaii needing a lawyer for a custody battle with my ex. I hired Hammond to help me while I was Oconus, and had my parents collaborate with him here in Georgia. He basically dismissed anything I said, didn't defend me in court, let my ex slander my name to the judge, then, after, found out from another old lawyer I use to have, told me he basically allowed my ex to also take me for money that she wasn't entitled to. Barely communicated with me, talked down to me, belittled me, was rude and unempathetic. Complete waste of money and time. I probably would of fared better if I just defended myself through Skype honestly. Don't fall for the \we care about you\ facade, find someone with great reviews that actually care.
