This is my home parish. I consider these priests and laity to be my family. I have few friends in this world and yet, my friends in Christ love me in the way Christ intended his followers to love one another - gently admonishing me when I stray and assisting me with prayers and living faith in a true and genuinely humble way. May God protect our Church and Rites, I ask this through Jesus Christ...Hear my cries, I humbly pray. All are welcome to see the Apostolic Mass celebrated everyday.

I had a good time.

The place to go to Mass in Chicago! Even Holy Mass in the basement of the rectory is beautiful. A wonderful parish.

I had the opportunity to witness a true Latin Mass here. Sadly there was a fire in the main building, so Mass is held downstairs in the rectory. But you can tell the parishioners and priests are deeply devoted to exalting Christ with the purest form of worship. My only wish was that this parish was closer to my home, as it's on the South Side around 64th Street.

The Shrine of Christ the King is what makes Chicago my \home away from home\! The vibrant and sincere Catholic community at the Shrine always brings such joy! Whether you live nearby or 6 hours away (like me!), you are always welcomed by the Canons and faithful in this community. Not only does the Shrine offer a welcoming atmosphere, but one filled with spiritual support through the sacraments (particularly the beautiful reverence of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass), spiritual direction, and encouragement of the Catholic laity. I can't wait to visit again!
