Sugar Land Regional Airport (IATA: SGR, ICAO: KSGR, FAA LID: SGR) is a city-owned public-use airport located in Sugar Land, Texas (USA), 17 miles (27 km) southwest of the central business district of Houston. Founded privately in the early 1950s as Hull Field, it was renamed in 1990 as Sugar Land Municipal Airport when acquired by the city. As of 2009 it is the fourth-largest airport within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytownmetropolitan area and serves as a eliever\ of traffic to this airport. It handles approximately 250 aircraft operations per day, which include corporate business jet and turboprop flights.
