My mom and I stopped here after our plans fell through at another place. Could not have been a better decision! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the decor is beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious. We have visited many tea rooms over the years (it’s a tradition), and Sweet Simplici-Tea gets some of the highest marks. We will be back for sure!

Oh. My. Gosh!!! We only discovered this sugary jewel of Sykesville fairly recently so we have not done a full sit down tea service, although it has looked absolutely lovely on our visits. However, the sweet treats we have gotten to take with us have been indescribably delicious. The flavors and textures have this tantalizing way of shutting off your brain to everything else around you as your every thought is consumed by the luxury your palate is experiencing.
My husband and I were extremely happy with our gender reveal cake made by Sweet Simplicitea! This was our first time placing a custom order with them. Our cake was ready in a matter of days, and it turned out beautifully! Not to mention it was delicious. Also very reasonably priced. I can’t wait to try more delicious baked goods from here and will definitely be using them again in the future. Thanks Sweet Simplicitea for making our gender reveal so special!
My daughter and I found this gem while I was visiting her in Maryland. We enjoy having afternoon tea and Sweet Simplici-Tea serves one of the best we've ever had! From the soup course to the dessert, everything was excellent and the service superior! I highly recommend visiting Sykesville and having tea!
I love this place. They have so many teas and a wide selection of finger foods. It's on the fancy side and each person gets a very different tea cup design. It's definitely a finger food and talk with people type of place. So don't expect to go just for food but the experience of finger food and talk. The food is filling since you'd get so many even though it's small bites each. We did the royal tea which gave an appitizer of cheeses and fruits, small teacup-sized of soup, scone, salad, and some stuff on the photo. They say they change the menu often but it was pretty fresh and mostly sweet side of food.
