Really great food and super nice servers but overwhelmed. The sushi chefs were really fast and the wait staff were moving quickly but there were just too many takeout orders to keep up with thanks to covid. We ate in the restaurant and they kept every other table empty, staff wore masks, and hand sanitizer was available

Food is good slightly overpriced. Of you order plan for orders to be much later than expected. When ordering tonight I called to confirm my order after placing it online. I was told 15 minutes and my order would be ready. I arrived to pick up my order 40 minutes later (because I knew they were late in the past) and still had to wait 20 minutes for pick up. I would order again because the location is convenient but always call before going to pick up your order to make sure it is ready. Otherwise you will be waiting in a vary small entry way that is not Covid-friendly.
My favorite sushi in the madison area. Many people believe other places are better, but there is no need for a reservation here, the food comes much faster, the price is better, and i think that it tastes better. The spicy tuna roll is great. The specialty rolls are excellent as well.
I had never had sushi before coming to Takara 88. I had an amazing time at this restaurant. Service was friendly and quick, food was very good. I would definitely recommend going to Takara.
