My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. Had a wonderful trip! Toni was responsive and very helpful when i couldn’t figure out a very simple endeavor in the house! the cottage is gorgeous and clearly very well cared for. you won’t regret staying here!
We stayed for a girls weekend away and it was everything we wanted and exactly as advertised. The owner was super responsive and clearly cares well for the cottage. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself and the view from the table is to die for. We will definitely return next time we can for some much needed rest and relaxation.
Edgewater Resort is a simple getaway for the hubs and I. Each cottage I believe is independently owned and they are available for rental on Airbnb. There's not a lot to do in Taylorsville Kentucky except for a few wineries and maybe a couple of bourbon distilleries that are within 20 mi. Louisville is about 30 mi away. My recommendation if you are considering traveling to Edgewater resort to look at the Airbnb rentals individually to make sure that they are equipped with everything that you need. We've been twice already and one cottage was extremely more put together than the second one we visited. Now granted they are all aging and they don't have the most up-to-date furnishings but like I said for a quick inexpensive getaway it works just fine. The resort is right on Taylorsville lake which we have yet to use a lies and there are a couple of nature trails as well.
We had a lovely visit to this gem of a place in November. We were within an hour of Churchill Downs, Woodford Reserve Distillery, Thoroughbred farms, and the Taylorsville State Park is just around the corner. We enjoyed the hot tub, huge library of movies and games for our kids, and had a memorable trip. I can imagine the summer is even more fun with pool access and the lake nearby!
