Teresa was the first vendor I booked. I had known her for 8 years and was so excited to hire her. November 2017, I gave her a 500 deposit to reserve my date, she never sent me a contract. I was looking at January 2019 for my wedding date about a month later I decided I did not want a winter wedding and Teresa graciously moved my deposit. That was the only kind thing Teresa did for me during my experience with her. She had assured me she would help me with my timeline so I requested a phone call with her 10 months after she took my deposit. She canceled on me several times over a two-month period and also told me to not contact her unless it was during business hours. I was starting to get concerned because she had moved to Arkansas and I knew she was dealing with a family crisis. Finally, 7 months before my wedding I became extremely concerned about the lack of communication. I sent her an email asking her if she could guarantee my wedding or if she had a backup plan. She responded via email with “I have never needed a backup plan” “I do not have a crystal ball and do not know what the summer will look like” “I will keep your deposit.” “I don’t have time for a phone call.” After that response, I hired another photographer and released the date with Teresa. I lost my 500 deposit however at least I have a photographer that will show up and has a backup plan. I, after all, can’t reshoot my wedding. I debated for a few months on whether I should post a review however I want other brides to be warned. She would not guarantee she could shoot my wedding however she was perfectly happy keeping my deposit.

My husband and I hired Teresa Lee for our wedding in October. Her husband, Robert said that he would be able to do it. I met with him several times during my wedding planning. He even met with my husband and I a few days before our wedding at our venue to show us what specific photos he would be taking. They sounded beautiful. However, he failed to show on our wedding day. He sent another photographer in his place, who was unprofessional to say the very least. She was rude to my friends and family, as well as myself. She was also disorganized and seemed overwhelmed. I wasn't sure if she had even done a wedding before. She did not take most of the photos that Robert promised us, even though I asked her to repeatedly. We tried to sit down and speak with Robert after our wedding to tell him what happened. He dodged many phone calls and emails. He finally agreed to meet with us 2 weeks later. He agreed in our meeting that what happened was unacceptable. It took 3 months to receive our wedding photos. The quality was not what is advertised on the Teresa Lee website. The worst part was that there were only a few photos of my husband and I. Dealing with Robert since the wedding has been one huge headache. He offered at one point to bring Teresa out to where we live (we live out of state) and shoot some wedding photos. I suggested a date and cleared it on my calendar. I sent numerous emails to Robert over the course of 4 or 5 weeks, but he never responded. That date came and went quite a while ago. What a disappointment. We will have to find someone else to retake some pictures of us in our wedding attire. Dealing with Teresa and Robert has been difficult. They have been unprofessional and lack integrity. My wedding day was so perfect. I only wish that I had the photos that I thought I was paying for.
Let's say I have been extremely fortunate in discovering excellent photographers before they get really famous (and super expensive!) Teresa Lee is one of those photographers. My walls are covered in portraits taken by another of the very best (before she, too, became famous and got out of my price range). People now fly her all over the world and book her years in advance. When we moved to Colorado, I had no idea how I'd ever be able to match her portraits in quality. Then I happened upon Teresa through word of mouth, and I was truly blown away. I was not planning to be in the photos she did with my three children, yet somehow, she captured each of them quickly, professionally, and beautifully. And, she managed to get ME in there and make me look (and feel) beautiful. That is part of her gift; I felt fat, grumpy and old - yet she made me look and feel the best I had in years. Photographers, like any artist, don't all have that \it factor\, but you won't find that out until after the moments you treasure the most have passed. Teresa's talent lies in her ability to capture those moments before they are gone, without ever making you aware she's done it! My highest praise, I adore her work, it is on par with the very best.

She has photographed professional shots for me, family shots, senior high school shots for my children, and special event shots as well. Teresa gets to know her clients and finds out exactly what they want their photos to exude, and then the artist in Teresa makes it all happen. She is gifted with the ability to capture the unique personality and individual beauty in of each of her clients and then she transfers those qualities into phenomenal photos that only she can create. Teresa makes each of her shoots fun, and the service she provides from beginning to delivery is stellar. She takes personal interest in offering the very best product and service to all her clients. She bends over backwards to create just the right setting and mood, and the finished product has always been beautiful. Teresa will make you and your loved ones feel timelessly beautiful, with a final product that's unmatched by competitors. She's a local photographer with international talent.
I can not say enough amazing things about Teresa Lee! At the last minute she shot our engagement pictures and she made us feel so incredibly comfortable and we had a blast. She then came by on our wedding day and told us she was going to do our photography for the wedding, too! She made everyone feel so welcome and made our wedding day even more spectacular. Not only did she take pictures, but she helped zip up bridesmaid's dresses, bustle my dress and made my husband and I feel so at ease. I would recommend Teresa Lee Photography to anyone! The pictures turned out so incredible and she took away so much stress on our special day. Thank you Teresa!
