We took delivery of a mainsail from another loft that had the wrong sliders installed. This was on the morning of our planned departure. We had sold the car and notified the boatyard that we were outta here. While bending on the mainsail, we discovered we had the wrong size slugs. Our sailmaker sprung into action to find a good loft to fix their error. Enter Kathy. She picked up our sail at noon and returned it to us FIXED at 7pm - the same day!. Her work is awesome and her service is second-to-none. We highly recommend The Beaufort Sailmaker. David & Terri Albright, SV Odonata

I have worked with Cathy in the Virgin Islands years ago where we both lived- and am happy to know that she is still sewing and servicing the marine industry. Just had some Hobie Cat tramps restitched and straps added and now my trapeze harness repaired. As always- quality with a smile. She is proud to be making sails now right in Beaufort too! I love having someone really listen to what I want as I get custom work done on my gear. Thanks Cathy!

We have been at the Beaufort Docks awaiting a good weather window for our passage to the BVIs. We met Kathy at the Dock House Restaurant. Found out she was a Sailmaker and asked if she did canvas, as Veneeni had no pedestal cover... At first she said apologetically that she would love to, but she just didn't have time. The Next day she called and said she wanted to do it...3 day turnaround, custom fit, VERY reasonable price! Not only did she do it, but it is beauyiful! Lovely matching the other canvas on the boat...Kathy is also a lovely person...she gets 6 stars from me!

We came in to Beaufort late on Saturday afternoon with a 4ft tear in our jib. Kathy met us at the town dock and picked up our sail, and then went out of her way to give us a ride to the Food Lion. By 9pm that night Kathy had repaired our sail and said she would bring it back to us at the dock the next morning. Not only was the service fast and efficient, Kathy was also a pleasure to deal with and went out of her way to help us get back out on the water as soon as possible. And she was able to do it all within our budget. We really appreciate The Beaufort Sailmaker and recommend her to everyone who needs sail work of any kind. Thanks very much Kathy, it was a pleasure to meet you, you're a real gem! ...Monica & Jay Grant

We arrived with a torn 1100 sq feet main. Kathy offered to work through the night to get us going again. High quality of work and fast as well. She came up with advise for improvements and watched over our budget better than we did ourselves. Absolutly trustworthy! Jos van Veen sy Jonathan from the Netherlands
