We came here with the intention of just grabbing a 6-pack and heading out, but Troy was so friendly & accommodating, we were enticed to stay. Troy gave us a long list of different flavored ciders with brief descriptions, and you choose 6 or 12 to sample. We loved so many of them!! Walked out with two 6-packs and a 4-pack of our favorite flavors! Great place for a date night or to bring out-of-towners! We’ll definitely be back and I’m telling all my friends! We walked into this place in passing. Troy was very tentative and really made us feel comfortable with the process. We had two people that had certain dietary restrictions and he was able to find a cider for them to enjoy. This place is a great starter for your evening if your looking for something different.
We had our first experience at the Cider Barrel last night. We will definitely be going back. Great atmosphere. We tried a flight of ciders (all were super amazing) chatted with the owner, listened to good music, talked about the different ciders and also discussed the art work on the wall. We really enjoyed the evening and will go back! Thank you Troy! You have done an amazing job!!!
I started going to the Cider Barrel sometime last fall. A friend and I usually go to the Gig Harbor Cider Swig every year to try new stuff but of course it was canceled due to pandemic. So we went to this place and totally stocked up, each buying a variety and then tasting in my backyard, from a distance (see pic). The place is super cute (love the barn doors), the owner super friendly (and he challenges me to try new stuff plus I challenge him to find stuff I haven’t tried). I look forward to future events there and when stuff is more normal so I can hang out and drink on tap. (Not only does he deliver but he is open to working out special pick up times; much appreciated).

Wonderful experience! The owner is a kick. A lot of fun and very knowledgeable in everything cider. We enjoyed the ciders we tried and bought some to go. Highly recommended. Enjoy!
Great experience! Tons of ciders to try from sweet to dry. Fantastic customer service and some free samples just for coming in! Will definitely be back :)
What a great tucked away place in downtown Olympia! Troy has a huge selection of Ciders and knows so much about all of them! You can slip into his very clean shop with a friend for a glass or get a variety pack to go.
