The Madeleine Choir School has been a fantastic educational experience for my two elementary school aged children. As a non-Catholic myself I initially had reservations. For eight years now, I have been continually impressed not only with the quality of the academic curriculum and teachers, but also with the overall strength and vitality of the school community. The strong emphasis on music education in the arts as well as early Spanish language education are just icing on the cake. The choir school is and open minded, safe and loving place where every student seems to be valued and supported.

Selecting a Kindergarten was a stressful process for us. After touring multiple schools we selected The Madeleine Choir School. We couldn't be happier with our choice! The teachers, staff, and parent community are amazing. The teacher involvement and communication is wonderful. If you are looking for a school where your child won't get lost in large numbers, will have exposure to arts and music (which are continuing to vanish in the public schools) and will be nurtured in a moral caring environment I can't recommend this school enough.
We're really happy with Madeleine Choir School. My son started in 3rd grade this year after we moved from overseas and we've been blown away by how welcoming the school community is. My 8YO already feels at home. He's also being stretched academically, which is exactly what I want. It's been a great choice all round, especially with tuition fees at less than half the cost of Rowland Hall.
MCS is a great community for both students and parents. Students are truly valued and formed into caring and engaged citizens. Academics are classical and rigorous but executed in a fun atmosphere. My student loves to go to school and is excited about learning- what else could I ask for at this stage?
The school offers an incredible opportunity to receive an incredible education in academics and music, all the while reinforcing Christlike attibutes of love, service and tolerance. This school is a gem. Our family has enjoyed the diversity, and has been welcomed into the Catholic community.
We first heard of the Madeleine Choir School by attending a spring choir concert at the Cathedral 10 years ago. After the performance, and in a state of awe, we vowed we would send any child we ever had there. Two kids and countless tales of academic, emotional and personal splendor later, we couldn’t be happier with our decision. If you are undecided or between schools, attend a choir performance and be prepared to have your socks knocked off by what a rigorous and enrichening liberal arts education can do for your child.
We have been MCS parents for eight years ever since moving to Salt Lake City and currently have three children enrolled. The school offers excellent musical and cultural experiences for its students in addition to a rigorous academic atmosphere. Students go on to high school extremely well-prepared and the challenging academics at MCS makes for an easy transition to high school courses. We also appreciate the tight-knit community and easily accessible teachers and administration.
Wonderful staff, great leadership, sense of community and unparalleled academics. I have been able to send 2 of my children to this school starting at K and every year has been equal or better than the previous.
