I love the diversity of the school and the principal Mr Lichtl. He gets to know the kids and is a fair man. I like most of the teachers and my daughters have had a great experience as students. There are many clubs that the students can join and the support is great.

I'm from Newbury Park High and went to Thousand Oaks High School for summer school. First of all, my summer school teacher sucked. She had no knowledge of how to handle issues that arise in her classroom - even though the issues happened right in front of her. Second, the principal has no idea of what race equality is. I had an issue with a black student because that kid had no idea about what personal space is. The principal decided that the best plan was to kick me out of summer school and let the black kid stay. As an Asian American, I dislike the fact that the principal took sides with the black kid while the black kid plays \innocent little black kid\ and bullies people behind the backs of authorities. I sound like a racist, but I'll say this out front, my best friend is black and his family knows me well.
The TOHS research program is exceptional and the ETHOS program teaches really useful skills.
