My wife and I were looking for a financial planner that could provide personal service; one who understood our needs and goals. We rejected the larger firms because, frankly, they were large and would not be willing or able to provide the type of service that we desired. One of my wife's co-workers mentioned Toomey Investment. Our interview of Austin revealed that he was exactly the planner that we were looking for. He asked us all of the right questions and quickly determined what we needed. We laid out a plan of attack to move our investments to his firm, get our will updated and even move our tax preparation from our accountant to his firm. His expertise was demonstrated these past few weeks of February of 2021, when one of the investments that Austin had purchased for us became the victim of the 2021 short squeeze. The stock rocketed up 50% in one day and then plummeted the next, resulting in what appeared to be a significant loss on our part. However, Austin had the foresight and the knowledge to know exactly what was happening. He had placed a stop loss on the stock and we realized a very significant gain on what first appeared to be a significant loss. Despite the pandemic and the rather wild 2021 stock market, our portfolio has made significant gains. Austin has spread our investments across the market so, that in the event of one sector having issues, we are protected. I would highly recommend Toomey Investment Management as a financial planner. They manage some significant holdings but realize where those holdings come from - not from large corporations or very wealthy individuals but regular people who have worked very long and very hard for their money and want to make sure that their money is in safe and reliable hands.
