Being a fan of Victory 44 and Chef Harcey, I had to try Upton. Certainly a different vibe than Victory, but the food does not disappoint. Upton is the place to go for quality over quantity- if you want to try something different, new, and Swedish-inspired versus wanting to stuff your face. Sharing a starter and having a main plate was the perfect amount of food.

My spouse and I picked Upton 43 for our anniversary dinner and we had a superbly memorable experience. It was a bit of a spendy dinner, but an excellent value for the five-star quality of the meal and the superior dining experience we received. I've paid the same for nothing special elsewhere in the Twin Cities. The atmosphere is sophisticated and comfortable. Our server, Kevin, was courteous and attentive without getting in the way of our dinner. We loved the Gravlax Smorrebrod starter; the Gravlax was like butter! The Swedish Meatballs were a delightful comfort dish and the Confit Mushrooms were exquisite. The Poached Pear and the Beet Sorbet (yes, beet!) made for delicious desserts. We are looking forward to returning someday soon!

Top notch. Everything I had at dinner was amazing. I wish I took pictures, because each course was beautiful. The components of each dish were well thought-out, and everything was prepared perfectly down to the seasoning. Can't wait to come back to check out the breakfast and lunch offerings.

My Scandinavian taste buds haven't been this happy since my last trip home to Iceland. Amazing food (I recommend the chicken liver and pickled herring) and our server was super kind and helpful. Would give 6 stars if that was possible. The price is completely justified and actually pretty cheap considering the quality of the food. I'll definitely be back.

This was my first time eating Swedish food and let me tell you I'd go move to Sweden tomorrow if all their spots are like this! The pickles, the gravlax, the meatball sandwich: B.A.N.G.I.N Worth the drive if you're in the city. Then stop by La La ice cream for their vanilla basil scoop.

Beautiful brunch with a unique yet welcoming atmosphere. I've dined here whenever I visit Minneapolis and it gets better every time. I love the open kitchen where there is no barrier between the diner and the cooking staff. Love watching how they prepare my food from beginning to end.

I have only been here for lunch so I can't speak to the dinner menu. It is a great build out. It feels Scandinavian but in a more traditional sense (not in a cheap ikea sense). The menu is eclectic but familiar enough to comply with a Minnesotans simple pallet. Nice wait staff. Good wine selection by the glass. I had the split pea soup (it is not written out that way on the menu but that is essentially what it is) it was so good! The two other people I was with had the omelette (loved it) and the lox on rye (also a hit). I will be back even for a post work glass of wine and a small bite. Great addition to the neighborhood. I hope Minnesotans will let this restaurant stick around.

A phenomenal spot. We found the service to be excellent - we had a 5 minute walkthrough of the menu at the outset that highlighted all menu items. Excellent atmosphere - very clean and simple, yet not pretentious, and the food presentation was really cool. We ordered 4 items and enjoyed each tremendously. We will be back.
