There was an issue with my order, this company deleted it and sent me an email after the fact rather than ask what I wanted to do first. Then when I called to speak with someone about this, I was told a supervisor would call me back and I never had a call, or a follow up email. Nothing! In my mind satisfaction is not guaranteed.

VERY slow shipping. It took over six weeks to receive my order with very little communication from the company. That said, the quality of the food and packaging is very good. I tried the Irish pub style potato soup and it is way better than I could have ever expected. I will most likely order again, as long as the shipping times improve.

Placed order in early April and was told there would be an 8-10 week shipping delay, yet they billed my credit card company immediately. 10 weeks came and went and still no shipment. Finally received my order in early July. Very disappointed in the food selection they sent. I will not do business with them again, nor recommend them to anyone else.

I contacted Valley Food Storage to acquire a free sample during my search for clean emergency food. I received the sample but had questions about some of the ingredients. A few of the item's ingredients are not fully listed (ex. pasta shells, butter powder, cheese sauce). I sent a nice email with my questions. In the reply, I was told the cheese sauce has Yellow 5 & Yellow 6 in it. The website states: "You will also notice we do not use any artificial flavors, added colors, hydrogenated oils, or MSG's". The customer service rep (Frank) that was helping me was very rude in his email response after I pointed out that they need to list these "hidden artificial ingredients". My husband has epilepsy and certain artificial colors can trigger his seizures. I have been reading ingredient labels for 7 years, so I know what to look for. I was told by the rep that Yellow 5 & 6 are in more things than I know. I intend to spread the word about the false claims on their website. I suggest that the company list the full ingredient list and find a more professional customer service rep. In an emergency, the last thing you need is another emergency.

I have made several purchases from Valley Foods and have always been pleased with the service and quality of their food. I use many of their products in my day to day life along with having some kicked-back for a "rainy day." Their prices are reasonable, and you can probably find something cheaper, but Valley Foods food is top quality and they use good real ingredients. Cheapo long term foods are always high sodium, low flavor and texture. And I don't want to eat those now, let alone when I might have to depend on them. When they have sales, (which is often) you can really get some great deals.

I ordered about 100 worth of food on March 3rd. On April 13th they refunded my money's. I understand this difficult time right now, but.... I can't review on the food, but the company sucks.

I was pleased with their prices and shipping was fast. I like that the ingredients are real food and they do not use nasty additives. However, we made a large order and we meticulously counted and organized all packages and buckets because they arrived in boxes in no organized manner with no packing slips. Many servings were missing (like over a hundred). Items out of stock were not substituted. Customer service got back to me right away and said they would ship missing items almost a month ago. I contacted them again--still no shipment of items weeks later. Everything is documented through email by spreadsheet. What else can I do to receive my full order? I don't know if it is a common mistake for this company to mess up orders so bad or if I am just unlucky. I hope they get it figured out. I'd like to recommend this company, but at this point I just can't. Did not receive what I payed for and the mistakes have not been rectified.

I have tried quite a few long term emergency food companies, and this one is the best in the category. The food tastes really good - not made from scratch good, but 'normal' packaged food good. This is in direct contrast to certain other companies out there! I also really like the fact that it it non-GMO and food safe. With some other companies, you have no idea what you are getting. Plus the bucket footprint is much easier to store than the typical taller bucket that does not fit on regular shelving systems.
