Great place to visit with your family. People tend to distance. But there are always outliers just stear clear of the anti mask special people, and you will have such a great time. Doesn't matter if you are alone or with friends it's a great time. Highly recommend year round always something to do.

Guess John Denver really knew what he was singing about when he was talking about West Virginia! This is the place where the Blue Ridge Mountains meets the Shanandoah and Potomac Rivers. Historical Harpers Ferry town was really interesting to walk through with all the old buildings still intact that you can go into. They also did a wonderful job highlighting the history of this town. Appalachian Trail goes straight through Harpers Ferry and the conservancy for it is not too far away. Jefferson Rock is a view that Thomas Jefferson himself said he would sail across the Atlantic just to see. Blown away by how beautiful the scenery is and this is in the winter, can't imagine how much more gorgeous it would look if the trees were more full.

Many of these reviews are for the town, but this is literally for the visitors center. So it's 20 for parking which is plentiful. The shuttle isn't being operated during COVID, which is annoying as the walk to the town from the lot is okay. But all downhill. Retuning is much more strenuous. I'm assuming. We ended up taking an Uber back to the lot after walking around the town and over the bridge.

Beautiful park and one patient kitty waiting for the storm to pass. And don't forget to visit our mosquito natural preserve... And go the speed limit...
