I used to live in the area and went to Watters often. I now live 2 hours away in Pennsylvania and have for 18 years and I still drive to Watters. I would not do this if their service not excellent! I am about to take a high end convection oven / microwave to them because, as far as I am concerned, there simply is no better place. I should be sure to Thank them when I get there! They are well worth the trip.

Waters Appliance is the best. They provide prompt and personalized service. I can't recommend them highly enough for their work. Five stars all around.

Slow service, lack of communication, bad information and horrible customer service. I was just told by an employee that the store was going out of business, I can honestly say I'm not surprised. You get one chance to make a first impression. This was the worst customer service I have ever seen. I dropped off my Ryobi power washer at the beginning of April to have it repaired, two week later I was contacted and told it needed to be replaced under warranty. I wasn't given any other information, a phone number to contact, a return number, or invoice number. I called back two weeks later to get some information about the status of the return and was told that the only two people that could help me were both out sick but that they would call back. That call never happened, I called back again two weeks later and was given a phone number to the company that is supposed to replace my equipment but again no one at the store could give me any reference number. I called back again this morning and was told that the request for replacement was only sent out a week ago, I admit I got angry because I was under the impression based on the call I received 3 weeks ago that this request for replacement had been sent when they called me. Basically, this store has one guy who knows anything, and a poorly trained staff that can't communicate or give customers any useful information. If by some miracle this place stays open avoid it, go anyplace else. Update, turns out the phone number they gave me was wrong! Found that out after sitting on hold for 10 minutes.

Long Story Short: Don't go in within 10 minutes of closing unless you can immediately pick up the one item you need without glancing at anything else. I live nearby, and today I went to get a light bulb to replace one that had gone out during the snowstorm. I was pleased to see they were open when I walked up, and seeing that they close at 5:30pm noted that it was 5:25 as I walked in. The light bulbs are right by the door, so I stopped there and immediately the woman behind the counter said "Honey do you need any help finding anything?" I said "No, I'm just looking fo..." "Well we are closing in 2 minutes so that's why I asked if you need anything because we are closing." Okay, I understand that it is annoying when a customer walks in right at closing, but I wasn't even the only customer in the store, she wasn't the only employee there, and she didn't let me finish my sentence before basically yelling at me to get out of the store. So I just said "Well I'll just go, then." and she yelled their hours at my back as I was walking out. The other two employees were helping customers and running the register. I give the place 3 stars because I've been in there before, and the guys that work there are really nice and have helped me before when I was looking for a vacuum, drill bits, hanging hooks, and the like. I buy what I can here, because I think it is important to support the small businesses near my home rather than the big box stores across town. Given that I work normal daytime hours, it is rare for me to get in there at an earlier time, but the guys there have never yelled at me to leave because it was near closing. I've also never browsed or dawdled until after closing, because I do respect that people have things to do after work.

I don't usually write reviews, but after reading these reviews and based on my own experience with Waters Appliance, I wanted to give them a good review. I called Water Appliance about fixing my KitchenAid Stand Mixer in mid January 2013. The person on the phone was a little gruff with me, but answered my questions. I then brought the appliance to Waters Appliance. I walked in, an older gentleman greeted me and directed me to the desk. The woman who helped me was very cordial and helpful. She gave me an estimate of 5 weeks to fix my mixer. In three weeks, they called and told me it was ready. I am very happy with the repair. All in all, I would give this place 11 stars and would definitely take any appliance there to be fixed.

What can I say, I am so happy. I have an older Kitchenaid food processor that my parrot took a shine to and bit off the plug. Spent weeks with Kitchenaid about what they could do. While they were happy I was pleased with their product there was nothing they could do except purchase a new one. One Friday I stopped in the Water's Appliance and was surprised to hear not only could they fix it but they could do it while I waited. They did a fantastic job! I am so pleased with the work and the pleasant employees. Thank you Water's Appliance!

I always find what I need here. They have a good variety of random household appliances and great customer service.

I've had appliances repaired and also purchased replacement work bowls for a cuisinart and a kitchenaid mixer here. On two occasions when I could get a part online cheaper, or when fixing a retractable vaccume cord just wasn't worth the cost the staff was very honest about it. If you like nosing around old school hardware stores, you will enjoy Waters.
