We are grateful to the staff of West Michigan K9 for their work with our sometimes incorrigible dog, Rosie. She is a rescue who loves humans and is very afraid of other dogs. They were patient with her and helped her with a multitude of commands. She is a work in progress. They went above and beyond \the call of duty\ in socializing her with a variety of other dogs. Thanks for your good work!

Outstanding, amazing results, great people, and worth every dollar spent! They were great with communication, report cards, emails, phone calls and following up with any concerns they/we had. We were lost with our 6 year old SPOILED golden retriever Yogi. He's a sweet and a good boy, but definitely thought he was in charge. He didn't see my wife and I as the pack leaders but instead us as part of the pack. We got a puppy in August, an english cream retriever and the challenge for us became unbearable. After reading the reviews, talking with West Michigan k9, and visiting the facility we knew it was the right choice. We spoke with West Michigan K9 about our concerns, food/toy aggression, being social with other dogs, and mostly him not listening to our commands. He is a month out of the 2 week stay and train program and his behavior still amazes us daily. Yogi 100% now sees us at the pack leader. His leash training is amazing. We look forward to walks, especially the ones that challenge us to grow! His obedience is outstanding, he looks forward to training. He is able to complete most training with silent commands! He's 100% obedient in the house and we have moved training outside, which has been successful. WMK9 gave us a new reason and respect for having a dog. Yogi has so much pride especially on our walks. He continues to grow closer to the puppy! Yogi knows we are the pack leader, no question. He trusts us more and looks to us for a command and follows through with it. We knew for Yogi to have success the training couldn't stop once he left the facility. We train 15 minutes twice daily and most days more, as recommended! WMK9 did an amazing job! We are proud to say he was trained by them!
You guys were awesome. We found our dog on Christmas Day on 2019; clearly discarded by his former owner. He was scared, overly protective and aggressive towards strangers other than us. We were advised to put him down by several professionals. Obviously could not stomach that option. Due to your training you saved a dog's life and created a great friend and part of our family. Thank you so much.
Really disappointed with our experience considering all the positive reviews. They seemed willing to work with us when we continued to vocalize we were unsatisfied however we just kept getting hit with discrepancies with the services portrayed on the website versus the services we received. We paid for the “stay and train” and felt like the only difference at pick up was that our dog had been wearing a prong collar. We were told the prong collar was essential for her walking. We felt like we spent thousands to have our dog stay for quality training but in reality we spent thousand to be sold a prong collar. We asked for work around cats and that she be taught place...those were never addresses at pick up and we had to call to ask about them and it seemed like it was never taught. Just a lot of confusion, disappointment and lack of communication. We went back for additional training help that they offered after we left unsatisfied and it just didn’t amount to anything. The staff seemed friendly and the owner seemed like he had a passion but just point blank did not get what was advertised. I feel at the time they were overwhelmed with trainings due to the pandemic. We would have so loved to have been a great turn out but unfortunately I cannot be one of the great positive reviews. Would not recommend and will not be returning.
We took our 5 month old GSP for the 2 week stay and train. Before training, she was a spastic puppy who was driving us bonkers. Since having her back we have seen a noticeable shift in her house manners - everyone is happier! That staff and facilities at WMK9 were excellent. Communication while our dog was gone was top notch. We appreciate all that they did for us and our pup!
