I delivered my 3rd baby here a week and a half ago. By far this was my best birthing experience (other 2 were at a hospital). I wanted to experience an unmedicated water birth in a place that would make me feel welcomed and cared for. I was lucky enough to find this place so close to home. Robin and Julie are very knowledgeable and I never felt rushed during appointments. You can tell they love what they do. I didnt feel like "just another number" like I did when I gave birth a the hospital. There was a point during the delivery when I felt like I couldn't push anymore but Robin, Julie and Jennifer (the photographer) were so encouraging I was able to gather enough strength to do it! We welcomed my son and my husband was able to "catch" him. It was truly an amazing experience, my only regret is that I didn't do this with the other two kids! You'll be in great hands if you choose these lovely ladies as your providers. The birth suites are beautiful and relaxing as well.

I gave birth to our baby girl on August 26th with the help of the incredible ladies at this birthing center. I switched from an OBGYN to Robin and Julie when I was 20-ish weeks. That was the best decision I’ve ever made. The care from the midwives was so much more thorough and the level of support was something I never received with my prior two pregnancies/births. During this pandemic the face of healthcare has completely changed and having the option to come to a birth center versus a hospital was a godsend. I was one of those moms that constantly texted or called to ask, “is this labor?”, because I’d never experienced spontaneous labor before. They were never once annoyed with me, which was very surprising. Lol. When my big day came they got to show their expertise and there wasn’t a moment that I didn’t trust them. My birth was not just smooth (because Robin knew what to do in every situation that arose), it was enjoyable! I felt so empowered. My extremely skeptical partner was also converted to pro-midwifery. When I tell you he was skeptical...I mean almost at an extreme level. He has worked in emergency medicine for 20 years and did not understand how any of this was normal or safe. He is midwifery’s #1 advocate now. We will never have another baby anywhere else. My family was under the best care at Westover Hills Birth Center. We 1000000% recommend. Side note: Our daughter is the most calm infant I’ve ever seen and we definitely believe it had something to do with the serene environment she was born into. Not scientifically proven but definitely a plus. Thank you so much Robin and Julie!

Robin and Julie are amazing midwives and gave me the power to have the birth experience I wanted. My baby did inhale some meconium on her wat out and they worked quickly to help her breathe and get the care she needed to recover. I'm so greatful for their kindness and diligence

We recently delivered our 3rd baby at Westover Hills Birth Center. When we got in the car, my husband’s first words were “that was incredible; why didn’t we do this before?” (we delivered our first 2 in hospitals). The circumstances were a bit unusual as our baby was in breech presentation. However, Robin’s significant experience and calm demeanor gave us complete confidence in moving forward with this path (she is known nationwide—I got her name from a friend in Virginia!). Robin and Julie make a great team—each of them bringing unique skills, competence and comfort throughout the process. The NEW center is beautiful and felt just like home. Highly recommended.

Robin and Julie are amazing. They were my midwives with my first child. They really helped make the birth of my first born empowering. Robin is so motherly and strong. She is extremely knowledgeable too! Robin and Julie helped shape my love for birth. I could imagine not being in such capable and caring hands for the first labor I experienced.
