We are in the middle of a major renovation of our new home. Shaia was recommended to us by our interior decorator. Frank Shaia personally brought a variety of rugs to our home, allowing us the opportunity to see how they might fit into our project. He presented a number of very fine pieces and was very knowledgeable about each of them. So far we have purchased one large rug, and are considering another. Based upon this experience, we definitely recommend Shaia Oriental Rugs.

My wife and I always love visiting Shaia when we are in Williamsburg. Great owner and staff. They are not high pressure like other dealers we have worked with around town. They are happy to show you their inventory with no obligation. They are well versed on the history and derivations of the carpets and patterns and happy to do deep dives or simply talk about sizes and colors. Recently we were looking at a rug we loved but weren’t sure if the size soybean right and they let us take the rug home with us and offered to pick it back up after the weekend. It was not the right size sadly but it made the decision so much easier for us. We also have had cleaning and repairs done and we thought their pricing was competitive sand the repairs were respectful and well done. We really enjoyed the experience and the service.

My interaction with Shaia Rugs is limited to cleaning. On arrival at their facility I was readily & warmly greeted by their staff. I was asked what was needed and they listened carefully to me. I was given a reasonable quote for the service I required and given a date when I could expect service to be completed. The rug I brought to them is a family favorite that had been heavily used for years. Shaia Rugs did a beautiful job of cleaning it and now it is conspicuously displayed in our home again. I highly recommend Shaia Rugs for cleaning your fine rugs. I am very satisfied with their price and more importantly, the quality of their work.

We had our 40 year old Oriental carpets, purchased in Istanbul, cleaned by Shaia when we moved to Williamsburg recently. The company did an outstanding job-the rugs looked like new, the colors were bright, and the delivery was superb. William and Tim were a delight to deal with and careful about placing the rugs, moving furniture for us, etc. We will definitely be repeat customers!
