Not much obvious to see in this particular patch of prairie, but it's noted that there was once an ol' Potawatomi village here. According to Wikipedia, an archaeological survey found plenty of smoking pipes but precious and few of the artifacts found here (\u003c5%) were items forced on them by European colonizers. A.k.a. cultural imposition fail. A shelter, a footbridge, and a short barbed-wire fence mark the edge of this property today.
