Great people and great place. Been bringing scrap metal here for years and it has always been easy and fast! Drive up on the scale, get weighted, drive around back, dump it, drive up on scale again, move off scale to park, go in and collect your cash. yes CASH! Easy to get too and easy to find. The owner and staff are very nice people and very friendly. It isn't often that you find a scrap yard that is this helpful. Try Winthrop Steel Company when you got metal to get rid of, you and your wife will be glad you did.

Over and above service. , My truck broke down there just after I sold some scrap, one of the employees took about 1/2 hour of his time to help me try to get back on the road . highly recommended . Thanks again guys .
I've dealt with other scrap yards in the past and found the staff to be a bit \unfriendly\. No so at Winthrop Steel. Great people to work with. I appreciate that they will take the time to look at a sample of your scrap and advise how to sort/prep it to get the best price.
